Tobias is the adopted son of the great Nordrian raider Chlodwig, one of their people's greatest warriors. Usually Geohhol is a time for celebration, feasting, drinking, and bragging. But Tobias observes this holiday alone, troubled by the cruelty of his brother Hakon and their dying father. He has always been a softer at heart, more honest, less boastful, and more kind than his brethren.
