Novella Three: Road to Bethseda
“Byw yw marw, marw yw byw. (To live is to die, to die is to have lived).”
-Cathyoran Soldier’s Saying
Edmond is now on his own, he no longer has his friends to depend upon and must find his own road. He has always wanted to be a knight, and knows there is more to his family's past than he's ever been told. Something pulls him onward, ever north along the King’s Highway, but is it his desire for a future or the past that guides his steps? He has never been one to overthink about problems, always preferring action and the blade of a sword. Lately however questions come to Edmond’s mind. Where did he come from? Who was his grandmother really? What did Marged know? Where did his sword come from? Perhaps the answers lay at the end of this road.
