01Who we are
Innatraea LLC is a Washington limited liability company. We run innatraea.com, the installable Innatraea app, the rewards program, The Dreaming Tree newsletter and Asherah, the bot in the Innatraea Discord. When this policy says “we” or “us,” it means Innatraea LLC.
This policy covers the information those services collect. It doesn’t cover other companies’ sites we link to, such as Amazon, where you buy the books. Their own policies apply there.
02What we collect and why
Most of the site needs nothing from you at all. You can read the books’ pages, the seasonal stories and Tavid the Traveler without signing up for anything. We only collect information when you choose to join something.

What every website records
Like nearly every website, our server automatically records basic details of each visit: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these records only to keep the site secure and fix problems, and they are deleted on a short schedule.
To keep bots from flooding the sign-in form, we may ask Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is signing in. Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser details for that check.
03What other Innatraeans can see
Your account is private unless you choose otherwise. If you join the leaderboard, a public profile shows your display name, profile picture, Leaves earned, rank and badges, and your collection gallery if you choose to show it. Your email address is never shown. You can leave the leaderboard at any time and your profile becomes private again.
In the Innatraea Discord, your roles and anything you post are visible to other members, as with any Discord server.
04Who else handles it
We use a small number of companies to run the services. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Hetzner hosts our server and its backups, in Finland.
- Zoho sends our emails, including sign-in codes and The Dreaming Tree.
- Discord runs the Innatraea Discord and confirms who you are when you link your account.
- Cloudflare may run the bot check on sign-in.
- Your browser’s push service (from Google, Apple or Mozilla, depending on your browser) carries notifications to your device.
- Stripe will handle payments when the shop opens.
- AI model providers process the text of letters sent to Mira Vox so she can write her replies.
We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for advertising. We would only disclose it otherwise if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of Innatraea LLC, and in that last case this policy would still apply to it.
05Cookies and your device
We use one cookie, and only when you sign in: it keeps you signed in for up to 90 days. It can’t be read by scripts on the page and is only sent over a secure connection. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics cookies.
If you install the Innatraea app, your device stores some of the site’s files so it opens quickly and works when your connection is weak. You can clear these by uninstalling the app or clearing your browser’s site data.
Do Not Track. Because we don’t follow you across other websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We treat every visitor as if it were on.
06How long we keep it
- Your account and everything tied to it stay until you delete the account.
- Sign-in codes are deleted within a day, and expired sign-ins are cleared every hour.
- The Dreaming Tree: when you unsubscribe, we keep your address marked as unsubscribed, only so we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we’ll remove it completely.
- Server records are deleted after a few weeks.
- Backups are replaced on a rolling schedule, so deleted information leaves them within about two weeks.
07Your choices and rights
Most of these you can do yourself, any time, without asking us:
- Delete your account from your account page. This removes your account, Leaves, activity, badges, collection, profile picture and Discord link. You choose whether to stay subscribed to The Dreaming Tree.
- Unsubscribe from The Dreaming Tree with the link in any issue.
- Turn off notifications in your browser or the app.
- Unlink Discord and leave the leaderboard from your account page.
You can also email us to get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete anything we hold that you can’t remove yourself, such as Discord activity or a wallet you added. We answer within 30 days and never treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, including California, Washington and the European Union, the law may give you specific rights over your information. We honor these requests from every Innatraean, wherever you are.
08Children
The Young Innatraeans books are written for families, but our accounts, newsletter and Discord are for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
09How we protect it
Everything travels over a secure, encrypted connection. Sign-in codes and sign-in tokens are stored only in scrambled form, never as the real values, and there are no passwords to steal. Our server is locked down to key-only access behind a firewall, and private files are kept outside the public site.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and say what we’re doing about it.
10Where it is stored
Our server is in Finland, in the European Union. Some of the companies listed above are based in the United States. By using our services, you understand your information may be handled in both places, always under the protections described here.
11Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so in The Dreaming Tree before it takes effect.
